Mush Mush Mush!!

Mush Mush Mush, that's what my brain feels like. I haven't been on stage in 10 days but it feels like years have gone by. My brain is comedy mush, and my body feels like mush, well that is mush but that's a whole different issue.

I spoke with my "manager" over the phone. At first he sent me this horrible e-mail which made me feel my career was over before it even got started. But after speaking with him I felt a little better. The problem is..know one knows me. As much as I have sent tape to industry and blah blah blah...the fact remains these people have no idea who I am and what to do with me, let alone know who my manager is. I have no heat on me. In fact i'm so cold...(stick in your own punchline you hack motherfuckers).

Here's the plan, I have to gain enough attention somewhere else for Comedy Central or anyone else for that matter to take notice of me and then and only then, they will come to me. What that means i'm not really sure. Basically take the game somewhere else. So, hopefully this manager will help me do that. I have come to realize that I'm much happier on the road. I know alot of comedians hate the road..but thats because they get so much work that they get burnt out. I of course get road work, but not to the point of exhaustion, although I would like to experience that :). God forbid I get too much work and become physically and mentally exhausted.

There are certain comedians who I respect and would love to have that type of a career. Such as Kevin Pollack, Louie Anderson, Richard Jeni, George Wallace, David Brenner, and my old favorite Don Rickles. All of these people have done Movies, t.v, but for the majority for their careers have stuck with their one true love, Stand Up. Shit, at this point i'll take consistant work, but with the more work you get the more opportunities will come. Kevin Pollack has an amazing career. This guy has worked with the biggest names in Hollywood but still performs at the Improvs all over the country and does A.C and Vegas. If I could have a career path..it would be like him or anyone of those people I mentioned. I know I did not mention any women and I don't want to seem like a sexest, because I'm a huge fan of women in comedy and I think there are a ton of funny female comedians. Roseanne, Joan Rivers, Judy Gold, and there is one other female comedian who I cannot think of her name...but she's like the female version of Don Rickles but alot dirtier. An italian name...on the tip of my tongue, ahhh fuck it..if you know who i'm talking about then put her name in the comments section.

It's a beautiful day out, maybe i'll go outside and smell all the fresh urine and dog shit that New York City has to offer!
